Minecraft: How to connect to a online Multiplayer Server?

This is a Step-by-Step guide mainly with pictures.

(THIS IS NOT A HOW TO ON INSTALLING Minecraft, OR TO SET UP A Minecraft SERVER!)

For this tutorial most Minecraft versions are based on eachother so you really won't need to remember different steps for different versions.

Step 01: Select Multiplayer

Step 02: Select Add Server (Only if you want the server to always show up in the list) Else use Direct Connect (Direct Connect only will store one server IP address, or host name if you have it on your local network)

Step 03: Know your Server IP address and connect (This image is for Direct Connect) We are using TeamExtreme's Minecraft server IP address or in this case web address, but If you have a server yourself you can get the IP and then connect by the following step.

Step 04: (Alternative) Fill in how you want to remember the server, such as server name and the IP address / web address and hit Done.

Finally, to connect without using Direct Connect just select the server and click the Play shaped Icon.
